When you click on the above link you will be taken to a page with a java® applet.

1. You must have java® enabled on your computer.

2. Please change the name from 'Guest' to a unique nickname. Common names may be registered by someone else and will cause you to be disconnected. This can be avoided by adding numbers or "MG" to the end of your nickname. For example, change 'Joe' to 'JoeMG' or 'Joe567'. Registered nicknames can only be used through PhaZenet(see below for details on entering the chat room through mIRC.)

3. If you are disconnected, please choose an alternate 'Server Name' before trying to re-connect (and try making your nickname more unique.)

4. If you still can not connect to the chat room please email MGnet Chat Help

If there is a video broadcast:

If you are not seeing a picture and you know we are broadcasting:

1. Make sure java® is enabled (if you can get in the chat room then java is enabled)

2. Make sure any Pop-up blockers are allowing pop-ups for our web site.

3. You must allow Active Content to view the screen.

4. If you are running on Windows XP and can not get into the chat room

a. In your browser click on 'Tools' then 'Internet Options'

b. In the dialog box choose the "Advanced' tab

c. Scroll down and see if you are using "Java Sun" or Microsoft Java Virtual Machine.

Microsoft says:

"The MSJVM will reach its end of life on December 31, 2007. Customers are encouraged to take proactive measures to stay informed about obsolete software and move away from the MSJVM in a timely fashion. The MSJVM is no longer available for distribution from Microsoft and there will be no enhancements to the MSJVM."

If you are using MSJVM, consider switching. Go to http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

and click on the "Download Now" link on that page.

5. If you have an older computer or a dial up connection, you may want to disconnect from the chat room while watching a video or live presentation.

If you are still unable to see the Clipstream™ Live applet, please click here for more assistance.

You may also reach the #MGravis channel (room) through any PhaZeNet Server on IRC with an IRC program like mIRC (Mac users may use Ircle or Snak.)
You may download mIRC from many locations. The main server for #MGravis is irc.phazenet.com
We have written some instructions to set up mIRC for the #MGravis channel and instructions for Mac users.
